BB&J Commercial Wins Deal of the Year at the East Midlands Brick Awards 2026!
We’re absolutely delighted to announce that BB&J Commercial has won Deal of the Year at the East Midlands Brick Awards 2026, sponsored by Haines Watts, for the successful sale of 73 Monk Street, Derby, DE22 3QE.
Following our earlier announcement that we had been shortlisted in the Top 3, we are incredibly proud to have taken home the award at last night’s ceremony. This is a fantastic achievement for the BB&J Commercial team and a testament to the hard work, dedication and collaborative approach that went into bringing this complex transaction to a successful conclusion.
Located close to Derby city centre, 73 Monk Street occupies a prominent site extending to approximately 0.22 acres. Wilson Architects Limited successfully purchased the property and has ambitious plans to redevelop the site into a purpose-built student accommodation scheme. The proposed development is set to provide 102 bedrooms across 16 cluster flats within a three- to six-storey building, contributing to the ongoing regeneration and development of Derby.
