Chris Wright, who specialises in commercial property for BB&J Commercial, was announced as the winner in the Derbyshire category by leading industry firm, EGi which publishes the Estates Gazette magazine and undertakes extensive research and analysis of the UK property market.
The award recognises the fact that Chris has been integral in some of Derby’s biggest property deals over the last 12 months, including lettings to TATA, DCFC, Knights LLP an most recently cyber security firm, Webroots who are doubling its presence in the city thanks to a move brokered by Chris. Not only has Chris helped to secure major new business in and around Derbyshire, the knock-on result of that equates to significant job creation across a wide variety of sectors.
Chris has been in the profession since 2000 when he began working as a trainee and subsequently gained experience across major national corporates before joining BB&J Commercial in 2009.
BB&J Commercial’s Mark Richardson said: “This is fantastic news and truly well deserved. Chris works very hard and has a strong commitment to clients as well as a clear natural aptitude and sense of the market which has helped to make him Derby’s top agent.”
Chris, who previously won the award in 2013 and has been in second place since then, said: “It’s an absolute honour to gain the Deal Maker title once again, it’s been an incredibly busy year and I’ve been involved in some very exciting projects which have contributed towards Derby’s continued reputation as a major centre for business and innovation.”
