In response to their ongoing success across the country and in order to facilitate their expansion plans, Screwfix have taken a tenancy of Unit 2 Rutland House in Ilkeston.
The property has been let by way of a new 10 year lease and will add to the portfolio of locations for the popular national trade counter brand. The new property is hoping to be open and ready to trade for the start of the New Year.
The deal was put together by Graham Bancroft, Partner at BB&J Commercial who said “The trade counter market has been extremely buoyant over recent years and there continues to be a strong demand from occupiers of this nature both locally and nationally.”
“We have been aware of Scewfix’s requirement for a long time and when my client informed me that his property might becoming available I immediately contacted them with the details. I was then able to agree a long term deal quickly which provided my client with no void period and long term certainty with the lease length and it also showed Screwfix’s commitment to the area. Despite getting the property under offer extremely quickly we had numerous enquiries for the building from a mixture of national and local businesses which shows the popularity of the location and property type.”
