On behalf of our retained client PMW Properties, BB&J Commercial have successfully secured the sale of Beresford House, Alfreton to luxury clothing manufacturer David Nieper for £1.5 million. The disposal of the 33,000sq.ft warehouse building has seen the Derbyshire company take occupation of 20,000sq.ft and acquire the adjacent unit which is currently in occupation by national kitchen supplier Howdens.
The move is part of the family ran companies planned expansion and sees Beresford House join their existing property portfolio which is head quartered from Saulgrove House, Alfreton. Established in 1961 David Nieper employ in the region of 300 people and with the acquisition of Beresford House this further reinforces the firms commitment to investing in the local economy and local people.
Chris Keogh, Senior Surveyor at BB&J Commercial commented “Once we were aware that David Nieper were in the market for space we carefully put together a package which provided them with their required operating space plus the added benefit of having an income stream. Our original instruction was to initially offer the vacant space on a leasehold basis but we managed to broker a deal that saw the sale of both the unit and the adjacent investment. We must applaud David Nieper and their agent, Tim Bryan, as they have conducted themselves in a highly professional manner and along with the respective legal representatives have made the transaction as seamless as possible.’
