Sale Secured for Prime Housing Development Site in Ripley

BB&J Commercial is pleased to announce the successful negotiation and sale of a prime residential development site located in Ripley, Derbyshire.

Acting on behalf of the landowners, BB&J Commercial facilitated the sale of the 3.10 acre site, which had the benefit of detailed planning consent for up to 34 new dwellings located on Peasehill Road.

The site is situated close to major transport routes like the A38, A610, and M1, making it an attractive option for developers.

This site garnered significant interest from potential buyers due to its location and development potential. Ultimately, the successful buyer was Futures Housing Group, a leading provider of affordable housing in the region.

The timing of this sale coincides with the recent announcement by the UK Government in July of a complete review of the national planning system. The government has set an ambitious target to deliver 1.5 million new homes over the next five years, with a substantial portion of these required to meet the demand for affordable housing.
