Taking Part in a Guinness World Record Attempt?! A Charity Update from BB&J Commercial.

BB&J Commercial are supporting Safe & Sound charity this Saturday for their attempt at having the ‘largest display of paper butterfly replicas’. The charity will be attempting to create a display of 1,000 butterflies at the Derbion on the 28 August 2021.

Safe & Sound are a local Derby charity that provide a wide range of support for young people who are victims of or at risk of child exploitation – this includes sexual exploitation, online grooming, county lines, trafficking, modern slavery, and radicalisation.

This Saturday, the charity has created a Butterfly Appeal to not only win a world record, but they are also aiming to raise money to respond to the increasing demand for specialist psychological therapy programmes.

The event will take place in the Derbion Shopping Centre, just outside of the Sainsbury’s on the ground floor. Throughout the day, there will be a variety of activities including children’s crafts and an opportunity to find out more about the signs and dangers of child exploitation at the Safe and Sound stand.

Mark Richardson, Partner at BB&J Commercial and Trustee at Safe and Sound said “BB&J Commercial are really looking forward to helping this new initiative created by Safe and Sound. We have bought a few butterflies ourselves and will be heading down to the Derbion shopping centre to show our support. I would highly recommend that you come along and show your support, hopefully, we will even help beat the world record!”
