Chatsworth Bonfire and Fireworks
28 October 2022 and 29 October 2022.
Chatsworth House are returning with their annual fireworks and bonfire weekend.
Each evening will consist of a bonfire and two fireworks displays, with an earlier fireworks display designed for little ones. The Saturday event will also include a ‘frightful’ night with spooky Halloween themed entertainment, firework displays and music.
There will be a selection of delicious food, from tasty hog roasts to churros and sweet treats. You can buy tickets here.
Wizards and Spooks at Midland Railway, Butterley
Every day throughout October half term.
Halloween at Midland Railway in Butterley is not to be missed. Heritage trains operate for the Derbyshire schools’ autumn half term holiday.
On arrival at Butterley, attendees enter the spooky Booking Hall in the Station. This is the gateway to a wizard competition, railway museum, to name a few.
The trains will depart daily from Butterley at 11.00am, 11.50am, 12.40pm, 2.00pm, 2.50pm & 3.45pm. Tickets are available to buy at the event.
Halloween Week at Thornbridge Hall
24 October 2022 until 30 October 2022
There will be a week of ‘spooktacular’ activities at Thornbridge Hall. It will include fancy dress competitions, ghost stories in the secret library, spooky hunts, and lots of food!
Tickets are included with standard garden entry. A family ticket is £18.
Halloween Trail and Pumpkin Parlour at Elvaston Castle, near Derby
30 October 2022 from 10.30am-3.30pm
Attendees will be able to complete the spooky trail to earn their certificate, then head to the courtyards to visit the pumpkin parlour and carve a pumpkin to take home!
Fancy dress is encouraged. Prices are £2 per trail sheet, pumpkin and other activity prices vary.
There is free admission to Elvaston, although car park charges apply. There is no booking required and attendees are able to turn up at any time during the event.
The Spooky Tunnels at Calke Abbey
15 October 2022 until 30 October 2022
Attendees will be able to creep underground into the spooky tunnels, decorated especially for Halloween.
There is no booking required, and entry is free.
Breakfast with The Spooks at Clumber Park
29 October 2022 until 30 October 2022
Attendees will be able to enjoy breakfast with spooks, monsters and ghouls to get you in the spirit of Halloween.
There will be children’s craft and colouring books included. Fancy dress is welcomed. An adult breakfast is priced at £9.74 whereas a children’s breakfast is priced at £4.50. Children aged under 3 eat for free. Booking is required.
