Established in 2002, Safe & Sound tackles child exploitation and helps children and young people in Derby and Derbyshire with support that helps them to move forward in their lives.
Safe & Sound are committed to raising awareness of child exploitation through education to children, parents, professionals and the public and to ensure that those at risk or affected are given the help they need to overcome these issues and move on.
Mark commented, “Child exploitation is an issue which many people understandably find difficult to deal with so find it easier to ignore. Sadly, the fact is that now more than ever it is an issue that needs to be recognised. I am delighted to be appointed a trustee of Safe & Sound who play a crucial role in helping children and young people who have been affected positively rebuild their lives. As a business owner working and operating in Derby I want to see Safe & Sound better engaged and supported within the business community to both raise the charity’s profile and increase its fund raising capacity to help more of those whose lives are affected and in need of support.
