BB&J race to secure letting at Sandown Business Park

BB&J Commercial can confirm that they have successfully let Unit 14 Sandown Business Park to Plinths London in February 2019 by way of a new 6 year lease.  Plinths are a major, designer manufacturer and supplier of retail plinths and display furniture across the UK.

Richard Morris, Company Director of PLINTHS.LONDON explained the reasoning behind his decision to take occupation: “Visoor Ltd and its associated brand PLINTHS.LONDON have seen significant growth in their business over the past 12 months.  With greater demand from our clients it became apparent that the company could no longer operate from our previous premises in Derby Trading Estate.

With a limited pool of commercial options available in Derby it meant the search for a perfect warehouse and office was a difficult task.  It was only through the assistance of BB&J Commercial that we were able to secure the perfect property on Sandown Business Park, Sandown Road.  The new property has given our business the opportunity to grow and thrive within a commercial premises that gives us much more than we could ever have expected.”

The 15,000sq.ft light industrial unit is located on Sandown Park Road and forms part Derby’s established Osmaston Park Industrial Estate just off Ascot Drive.

Speaking of the deal, Chris Keogh Senior Surveyor at BB&J Commercial explained “We were contacted by the landlords, Ivygrove Developments in late January who explained that Unit 14 Sandown Park was due to be vacated by their previous tenant in mid-February.  After undertaking a couple of viewings with PLINTHS.LONDON it was evident that their specific requirements were well suited to the property and therefore we were able to move quickly to negotiate a deal which meant that the property was re-let without any void period.  It was a win-win for both the Landlord and new tenants alike.”
