New Nursery Opens in Hilton Following Successful Acquisition

BB&J Commercial is proud to announce the completion of a significant property acquisition in Hilton, Derbyshire, for Lots for Tots Childcare, marking the launch of a brand-new nursery set to open in September 2025.

Cameron Godfrey, Surveyor at BB&J Commercial, acted on behalf of the tenant in acquiring the newly built property on Egginton Road (DE65 5FJ). The unit is part of a larger 0.42-acre commercial site developed by Midbrook Buildings, with planning support from George Henshaw of Wakebridge Architects. Legal advice throughout the process was provided by Zoe Romain of Smith Partnership.

“From the very first viewing, it was clear this site had the potential to become something special, not just as a nursery, but a real community asset to Hilton. It’s been a privilege to work so closely with Beth Wheatley and the team at Lots for Tots Childcare. Their passion, vision and drive for excellence within the sector inspired not just me but everyone involved throughout the process.

Seeing this building go from a shell to a vibrant, welcoming nursery has been incredibly rewarding, It’s what makes our job worthwhile. I’m proud to have helped make this happen and deeply grateful to everyone involved including Zoe Romain from the Smith Partnership, who’s efforts made this all possible. I would like to also thank George Henshaw at Wakebridge Architects and Midbrook Buildings who designed and constructed the building and who worked tirelessly to make sure the building was ready for September – again a massive thankyou for their dedication and professionalism throughout.

It was also fantastic to see the venue in its full glory during the VIP open day hosted by Beth on 31st July. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and pride, a real reflection of everything this project has achieved.” – Cameron Godfrey, BB&J Commercial, BB&J Commercial.

I’m so proud of the building we now have, the incredible team in place and I’m excited for what’s to come. I’m especially looking forward to welcoming our first families through the doors this September. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who’s helped bring this vision to life – and a huge thank you to Cameron from BB&J Commercial and Zoe from Smith Partnership, who’ve worked tirelessly behind the scenes and supported us every step of the way.”
