A partner at Derby-based commercial property agents BB&J has been named the county’s top dealmaker in recognition of the number of transactions completed.
Graham Bancroft came top in Estate Gazette’s Dealmaker of the year awards with BB&J Commercial also named as the third most active agent in Derbyshire.
Graham said: “The Estates Gazette is recognised as the ‘voice’ of the commercial property profession and I am delighted to have been named Dealmaker of the year.
“Despite commercial property stock being limited in the region, BB&J Commercial has continued to gain new instructions and do deals through proactive marketing and outside-the-box thinking to get deals over the line.
“With numerous new developments on the horizon, the outlook for the city, county and region is very positive and we are continuing to bring to the market some exciting new opportunities.
“To have come top three in the most active agent in Derbyshire and to have won the Dealmaker of the year award is something we are very proud of and is an achievement to be shared by the whole team at BB&J Commercial who work tirelessly together to ensure deals are completed. ”
Amongst the recent deals completed by Graham was the letting of a 12,000 sq ft industrial unit in Raynesway to Blue Sky Industries – an international aerospace hardware and fasteners company which has relocated its UK base from Cannock to Derby, a letting of an industrial unit to Screwfix in Ilkeston and an off-market acquisition of a multi-let investment including Costa Coffee in Ashbourne. In addition, Graham has been instrumental in helping his client transform the World Heritage Darley Abbey Mills site from a dilapidated industrial development into a modern and vibrant office and business park.
